Ryan is an Associate Attorney at McDonald Toole Richman & Correnti, P.A., where he specializes in personal injury defense litigation, representing companies in a broad array of matters, including automobile negligence, premises liability, product liability, general litigation and complex coverage disputes.

Ryan graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana in 2006, and the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2011 where he received his J.D. and Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) While at LSU he argued on behalf of the respondent against Hon. Kyle Duncan, now a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, to aid in his preparation for oral argument before the U.S. Supreme Court in Connick v. Thompson, 562 U.S. 51 (2011).

Prior to joining the firm, Ryan worked in his hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana, where he clerked at the First Judicial District Court of Louisiana, and then joined a local defense firm where he practiced in workers’ compensation, automobile liability, premise liability, complex litigation and medical malpractice defense. In 2020 he joined a boutique firm focused on claimant’s litigation. After his experience representing claimant’s Ryan developed knowledge and skills which bring a unique perspective to his representation of defendants.

Over the course of his career, Ryan has advised various companies, specifically commercial transportation, grocery stores, casinos and health care systems on their risk management policies and procedures and aided in developing comprehensive safety guidelines and incident investigation reporting.

In 2025 Ryan argued in front of the Louisiana Supreme Court in the case of McBride v. Old Republic Ins. Co., 2024-01519 (La. 6/27/25), 413 So. 3d 452.

When not practicing law, Ryan enjoys going to Walt Disney World and is an active runner who has completed 2 marathons and is training for the 2026 Chicago Marathon where he is running for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. He also loves playing with his Chesapeake Bay retriever Harper and cheering on his LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. An active traveler, he has been to 5 continents to hike and explore including New Zealand, Iceland, Argentina, and Antarctica, and hopes to make it to Asia and Africa in the near future.
